Raena Morgan: There is a toxic condition that has to do with chemical sensitivity, what is that?
Dr. Lepisto: It’s called multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome and somebody who is suffering from this may have difficulty even walking in the detergent aisle of the supermarkets. They are very sensitive to paints, stains, cleaners, solvents, perfumes okay that someone who is not just doesn’t like them but really reacts severely to them and the reason for this is that they have a toxic accumulation in their own system that causes them to be even more reacted to things around them.
Raena Morgan: Okay, so some of the reactions would be, like nausea, headache—
Dr. Lepisto: So it would be more than even a typical reaction for someone who has like seasonal allergies. They might get a cough that becomes chronic, they might get headaches—
Raena Morgan: Okay
Dr. Lepisto: They might get extreme fatigue just from that single exposure to the chemical or the perfume.
Raena Morgan: So it's not just to dislike it’s a real reaction.
Dr. Lepisto: That is right it is a real and manifesting health condition for this people. They are the ones that need to have air filters in their homes absolutely filter their water and curiously, these are some of the things that all humans really probably should be working towards. It's just that they’re particularly sensitive. Now the other thing that happens, this is very interesting is that people when you clean up sort of your lifestyle and your diet—
Raena Morgan: Right.
Dr. Lepisto: You kind of notice the same thing like you really don’t want to be around these chemicals and perfume’s either and I look at that as kind of the price of health. So it’s both ends of the spectrum that we’d—I would much rather see somebody living healthily and choosing not to be around the chemicals than being forced to, because their body is so toxic and they are getting such strong reactions.
Raena Morgan: Okay, thank you very much.
