Denise Richards Talks Reality TV and Motherhood Better TV.com Audra Lowe: Welcome back its time for Hot Topics with hot mama here Denise Richards the actress you’re looking good mama. Denise Richards: Thanks you too mama. Thank you. Audra: But I need to know what do you do, what do you do, do you work out all the time? I got to try that. I tried ones and I was like yeah I like yoga but you I mean. Denise: You look amazing. Audra: Thank you. No sleep, no eat and just live and breath and that’s it. Denise: Isn’t it amazing how well you can function on very little sleep. Audra: Yes. Denise: Everyone want to but its true. Audra: If I had no idea whatsoever so right now I think three of you right now. What happened to your Melody show Denise to be back with another one because I really, really liked it? Denise: Oh you’re so sweet thank you. I enjoyed it. My heart is acting. I love scripted television and movies and I was thrilled to do two seasons and you know I’m excited to get back out there and do acting and what my passion is. Audra: Your dad was fond of this show. How’s dad doing? Denise: Thank you. Dad’s great. He’s going down the fort for me with all the animals and lots of phone calls the girls are here with me so. Audra: Does he miss the reality show? Does he miss being on it? Denise: Like myself we missed the crew. Audra: Okay. Denise: I loved the crew. I loved having them around. My dad did too. We would make big dinners and snacks and stuff like that. Audra: But you have to like your privacy now right? Denise: Absolutely I mean we’re not there 24/7. Audra: Okay. Denise: It’s not really want people think. I mean on play of things but that long. The first time we had that time but we I love the crew. Audra: Well speaking of reality shows you were on season 8 of Dancing with the Stars so we have pretty much everyone that’s on the show that was on the show. They still watch do you watch every season. Denise: I do. My girls love to watch. They love the costumes and this has been a very interesting season. Audra: Yeah, yeah. Denise: Well I’m still leaning towards Jennifer Grey. Audra: Really? Denise: I am. Audra: Okay, alright but a lot of people are saying Jennifer Grey or Brandy but both of them have some kind of experience. Denise: I mean I love to see Max but I think Fox could. Audra: Yeah. Denise: A lot of ladies wanted to be in the finals. Audra: Yeah a lot ladies want to see Rick Fox. It would be interesting just see him. Denise: Yeah. Audra: Amazing. Denise: So I had a great season. Audra: Okay I have to ask you a couple of things here. When it comes to the kids who’s the bigger disciplinarian you or Charlie? Denise: Me and me. Audra: Just me and that’s it. What about with the homework this is another thing that I’m going to have to walk into. There’s all these different subjects, things have changed obviously. Denise: I cheated on the homework. A first grader this is terrible I think I need to go back to school. My daughter had to do something for Halloween and I feel bad because if her teacher watches us I have to actually twitter about yes because you have pick something for each letter how to do with Halloween which is actually a lot more difficult. I couldn’t believe for first grades. Audra: Thank God for Twitter because now they have our generation. Denise: I actually given in to her I said you know what I had to go to the internet for one thing. Audra: As long as you get the answer Denise that’s all that matters. Are you the kind of mom that always has the video camera rolling to capture all the moments. Denise: My kids hate the camera so for those on twitter people who forward me different pictures of blogs where the girls are and people say my kids look very miserable in pictures they don’t yeah. They do not like the paparazzi. They’re very, very happy girls. They really don’t. They don’t like cameras following them. They don’t like the paparazzi. My personal picture is they love. They don’t love the video camera. They like to video tape each other but they get a little shy if one of us do it. Audra: It’s a controlled environment where they can do that right. Denise: Yeah controlled environment they are like you know. They --like that but they don’t like walking outside and having paparazzi and stuff. Audra: They know the difference though that’s a good thing I like that your’e doing a fantastic job as a mom by the way. Denise: Thank you so much. Audra: Thanks for being here.
