Now there are numerous bars in Aspen to grab a refreshing cocktail but there’s only a
handful of a great sports bars to stop off and watch your team’s game. And of course the
JBar conveniently located here on Main Street in downtown Aspen in the hotel Jerome,
one of the more historic buildings here in Aspen. Now this place is known for its football
games on Sunday, the place to hangout. So come check out the JBar and why visitors,
locals and celebrities keep coming back for over a century to visit the store.
And you can’t go past Bad Billy’s. The quintessential sports bar for those who like to get
a little rowdy. The regulars will make you feel right at home with continuous of games of
pool, chutney board and foosball.
Up next is the Red Onion, one of the oldest yet newest sports bars in town. Located here
off the Pedestrian mall on East Cooper, this bar has been a part of Aspen culture for over
120 years and the locals are ecstatic because it has reopened after being closed for three
years in June of 2010.
Zane’s Tavern has two locations, one of them in Aspen Mall, opposite Jean Taylor’s and
the other right here in downtown Aspen off Hunter Street. Now this easy going place has
numerous satellite TVs so it’s the perfect place to hang out and watch your favorite game,
plus they’ve got Monday night specials and -- specials, and their kitchen is open until
midnight at both locations.
